Dublin Fringe festival 2014 will take place this September 5th to 20th in and around several venues in Dublin City. The annual arts event includes a stunning blend of creative approaches including spoken word, dance, comedy, film, theatre and gaming.
This year’s music line-up once again delivers on the festival’s reputation for showcasing alternative and unique live music performances.
Included in the 2014 music programme will be the launch of Hilary Woods’ forthcoming E.P. entitled Night, an exciting follow-up to the songwriter’s brilliant solo album The River Cry.
Acclaimed DJ and band leader Kormac will present a specially conceived live show for this year’s Dublin Fringe Festival. Which will also include cuts from his upcoming album, due for release this September.
Maud In Cahoots will present an exclusive one-night-only show for the festival. The duo will also perform at another Fringe show, The Well Rested Terrorist, written & directed by band member Zoe Ní Riordáin.
Choice Music Prize winner Jape will also perform at this year’s festival. While Camille O’Sullivan will celebrate her 20th anniversary of sold-out Fringe shows with two nights at the Meeting House Square.
The final night of the Dublin Fringe festival will see James Walmsley (Dead Cat Bounce) and Megan Riordan (Pop Céilí) curate a charity shindig called Megan and James’ Hootenanny at Smock Alley Theatre. The event will include music, comedy, dancing and food & drink. All for a good cause.

The Secret Garden Music festival will take place this Bank Holiday weekend on Sunday, August 3rd in Wicklow town.
Located at the Polo Arena, Kilpoole Hill in Wicklow town the Secret Garden festival will include live music, street performances, an arts & craft fair, food stalls, street vendors and a bar from 2pm.
Boasting an exciting line-up of some of Ireland’s best live acts, the all day festival will feature performances from the Hot Sprockets, the Cujo Family, Buffalo Sunn, Blind Yakety, Neon Wolf, Bionic Rats, Cocaine Ponytail and 3 Hanks & a Yank.

The Spirit of Folk music festival is to have its launch night, entitled We Are Made of Star Stuff in Whelan’s Dublin on Saturday, August 16th.
Included in the forthcoming Spirit of Folk 2014 launch show will be a series of inspirational talks by Lee Hurley, Christian Reeves, Grace Dyas & Stephen James Smith, and live music performances from Carriages, Stephen James, Leading Armies and Bunoscionn.
